The Position

We're looking for a talented and passionate Computer Programmer to join our growing remote team. You'll be responsible for writing, testing, and debugging code for various Google products and services. You'll collaborate closely with designers, engineers, and other programmers to ensure that our products are functional, efficient, and user-friendly.

Job Summary

• Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code using various programming languages and frameworks.
• Develop, test, and debug software applications according to established coding standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with designers, engineers, and other programmers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Identify and troubleshoot software bugs and defects to ensure optimal performance.
• Contribute to code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code quality.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest programming languages, technologies, and trends.
• Write unit tests and implement test-driven development (TDD) practices.
• Work effectively in a remote work environment and maintain excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software applications across various domains.
• Translate complex technical requirements into clear and concise code.
• Optimize code for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Conduct thorough code reviews and identify potential issues.
• Work with debugging tools to troubleshoot and fix software bugs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Document code effectively to ensure clarity and maintainability.
• Stay informed about the latest advancements in programming languages and technologies.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience in writing clean, well-documented, and efficient code.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles.
• Proficiency in at least one major programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C++).
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with unit testing frameworks is a plus.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies is a plus.

Experience

This role is open to both experienced programmers and talented recent graduates (freshers). For experienced candidates, we're looking for a minimum of 2+ years of experience in a similar role. Freshers with a strong academic background and a passion for coding are also encouraged to apply.
