About the Role:

The Collection Agent role at NTPC is a dynamic and results-oriented position. You'll be responsible for a portfolio of outstanding accounts, working diligently to collect payments while maintaining positive relationships with customers. Your key tasks will include:

• Analyzing Accounts: You'll assess overdue accounts, identifying root causes of delays and formulating effective collection strategies.
• Communication and Negotiation: You'll reach out to customers via phone, email, or letter, using clear and persuasive communication to explain payment options and negotiate timely settlements.
• Documentation and Record Keeping: You'll keep meticulous records of all communication and collection efforts, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information for future reference.
• Adherence to Regulations: You'll strictly abide by all company policies and ethical collection practices, prioritizing customer respect throughout the process.
• Reporting and Analysis: You'll prepare periodic reports on collection activities, analyzing trends and identifying areas for improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement effective collection strategies to maximize timely recoveries.
• Communicate effectively with customers, demonstrating professionalism and understanding.
• Negotiate payment plans and settlements that are beneficial for both NTPC and the customer.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all collection activities.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and ethical collection practices.
• Research and analyze customer accounts to identify root causes of overdue payments.
• Prepare comprehensive reports on collection performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers.
• Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Proficient in computer applications like MS Office Suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Hindi (desirable).
